Last Days of Summer

Hi,

Hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer vacation!

Lynn Crest PTO is getting ready for the 2013-2014  school year and are in the process of updating our PTO email distribution list.  If your son/daughter has either graduated or you have moved and no longer have a child that attends Lynn Crest Elementary School please let me know so I can remove your email from this list.

 

Please take a moment to look at the attached document, which contains a list of all the committees and their descriptions. We need your help, committees aren't possible without the help of volunteers. If you are interested in running a committee please send me a quick email or print out the committee volunteer form and return it during the first week of school. If you have any questions regarding any committee please contact us. 

 

The first PTO Meeting for the 2013-2014 school year will be on Thursday, September 19th @ 6:30 pm in the All Purpose Room. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Back to School Night will be Tuesday, September 24th @ 6:00pm.

MOVIE NIGHT

Tonight is Movie Night @6pm!!

FIELD DAY REMINDER

Just a reminder Tomorrow is Field Day! 

 

  1.     We will be having a pizza party (Hot lunch will still be served). 

          Drinks will be provided.

  2.     A snack & drink will be provided to half day students.

  3.     We will be having a rainbow day at Field Day:  Please have your child wear the color shirt assigned to their grade level.

                                                Pre K & K: Please wear a Red Shirt

                                          1^st Grade:  Please wear an Orange Shirt

                                           2^nd Grade: Please wear a Dark Blue Shirt

                                           3^rd Grade: Please wear a Yellow Shirt

                                           4^th Grade: Please wear a Light Blue Shirt

                                                5^th Grade: Please wear your 5^th grade shirts.

 

 

4.      Have your child wear a hat and don’t forget the sunscreen, they will be outside all  

         day long.

5.      Also have your child in sneakers and socks. No sandals or bare feet allowed.

6.      Most important a SMILE.

OKLAHOMA NEEDS OUR HELP:

Operation Jersey Shore Santa is sending trucks out to Oklahoma. Here are the details on what is needed and the drop locations. The nearest one to us is in Matawan:

Collection will go through THIS SUNDAY so we can arrange packing the truck on Monday.We have also listed the current collection spots where donations can be dropped.
